Carbon Sky

From 2016 to 2018 I would often return to the exact same locations in the BC Interior time and time again; sometimes five, ten, or even twenty times over a period of days, weeks, months and years. My main focus was on the semi-deserts, deep valleys, and plateaus, to define how I see the interactions of the natural and manufactured worlds. While filming in these places, I was never able to separate my imagination from the political, commercial and cultural impacts that influence these landscapes; and it is these relationships that shaped what I saw.
