In Living Memory

A bitter-sweeet dialogue between father and daughter, challenging traditional notions of remembering and forgetting. This video explores Gottlieb s loving and stormy relationship with her father, an artist and communist, who, at age 93, is losing his memory. By the end of the story, it is not clear whether the father remembers his daughter, but it no longer matters. The strength and intimacy of the relationship has been established, and expanded notions of memory have challenged narrow conventional views of recognition.
