Chinaman's Peak: Walking The Mountain

This eponymous video takes place on a mountain in the Canadian Rockies. Walking the mountain is part of a Chinese ritual of ancestral worship, still part of contemporary Chinese culture, providing continuity between present and past, and feeding the hungry ghosts that came before. The video documents this tradition, and honours both the memory of Chinese railway workers in the Rockies at the turn-of-the-century, and that of the artist's deceased father.
