In this confident mix of experimental and haunting imagery, a grown son recalls his deceased father's struggle with madness. Based on a riveting monologue by Kansas-based performance artist Tony Allard and lyrical camerawork by videomaker Kristine Diekman, the video explores how language and madness inflect each other, and the ways in which the pharmaceutical industry and medical/educational systems conspire to produce notions of madness and sanity.
