Dialogue...to Be Continued

DIALOGUE ...TO BE CONTINUED - The tape is based on an autobiographical situation - the long-term friendship between the producer and a woman friend, Randie Lind. The structural framework is a series of meetings between the women in the present, and flashbacks to the past. Through the use of spoken text taken from journals and letters, the changing concerns of the women are examined: the idealism of youth, relationships, careers, image and identity.

The tape attempts to go beyond a strict narrative line both to parallel the action of memory and to achieve a more abstract and universal effect.
