DISCOVER ORAL HYGIENE is the exploration of an artist's ambivalent reaction to her socially constructed feminine alter ego, Steff Hoons.  In the work, the artist's mouth is used as a monitor projecting representations of cultural bulimia, and act of ingesting and expelling massive amounts of junk culture. This uncontrolled consumption resonates truths about society's compulsive desire to consume certain socially regulated norms of the feminine.
