After Trump got elected, I started these Exercises in Resistance as a means to bring a practice closer to me when I felt completely disabled from producing more ambitious work. They evolved into one-hour intentions of vulnerability; a commitment to stay open despite and alongside of-----.

They are silly, somewhat embarrassing, but done with my complete self-present at any time of day and in any action or gesture: waiting for a thunderstorm that never materializes, exploring the sensations of my freezer, confronting the LED light outside my apartment, mapping my apartment with a candle late at night and many others.
