How do we know when and when not to give birth to a public work of art? FURBURGER provokes this thesis using an allegorical narratology spoken by a male cultural clinician while bonded to the walls of his Thinking Asylum. This videowork conjures up viewer disturbance by a performance of the abortion of the Art Fetus anchored in the attempt to propel viewers into what they might consider sexual strangeness, and would otherwise not be prone to enter. This pleasure screen experience advocates for our rights as humans, as artists, to control our reproductive cycle of not only Darklove picture making but any critical cultural practice or sexual choice over dictated heterosexist and new sobrietist values.
