Going Back and Forth

Through overlaying two separate videos of two walks done in Calgary and Tehran in summer 2015, I take the viewer on a journey from my studio to home. Back and forth, while 10,256 KM apart. Overlaid, intertwined, blurred. One melts into another, appears, and disappears step by step. You get lost in the fragments of moments, places, and bodies that touch one another with/out tactility, until you find something familiar–a sign, a plant, a number–to hold onto and make sense of what you see during this constant looped walk that never ends. It keeps going on, back and forth. And to ask how many layers of identity make one?
