  • A woman begins the everyday ritual of having a cigarette. Instead of lighting it, however, she begins to make patterns with the wooden matches on a table top and then on different coloured electronically-generated chroma-keyed backgrounds. The alternative ritual of linear pattern-making becomes an obsessive force that dominates the tape as two and three dimensional elements are introduced and employed in a technically and conceptually similar fashion.
