HYGIENE places the subjective melodrama of personal relationships against a wider objectified canvas. The tape consists of a series of alternatives between confinements and exploration, activity and passivity, and naturalism and stylization. This work benefits from the schematic contrast of artificial and natural lighting sources, multi-layered original soundtrack and subtly detailed performances from an excellent cast of characters.
