  • This piece examines movement and the way it is perceived on the video screen. By dissecting a found sequence of activity in nature, it evokes the quiet experience of looking at birds at a beach and elicits a re-examination of the scene's impact through video reproduction. The images become document, photography, tapestry and lyrical rhythm. The tape was produced in real-time. It is video animation that was performed with no editing as if it were a musical composition. The pacing, contemplative at first, becomes energeric, almost stroboscopic and cathatic as the sequence of images changes ever more rapidly. Produced at the Experimental TV Centre in Owego, N.Y.
