  • This highly stylized, black and white experimental drama takes its name from the official response by the National Indian Brotherhood to the Canadian government's 1969 White Paper on Indian policy, authored by then-Minister of Indian Affairs Jean Chretien. Aboriginal actors appearing in flowing gowns, ruddled shirts and buckled boots deliver a pseudo-Elizabethan dialogue of "art thous", with two European actors representing a distillation of European male and female figures.
