Shadows

Thematically working from a Jungian model, this tape explores the concept of Ôpsychological shadows or Ôinner worlds that exist simultaneously with the external reality. The contradiction of the emancipated woman in the context of the traditional Japanese sexual role stereotype is presented through a series of scenes in which the observed realities of several women are juxtaposed with their psychological shadows personified on video monitors.
