The Suicide of Laura C.

A contemporary noir-style comedy that plays with the standard noir structure, particularly regarding issues of class, gender and economics. Marlene Madison is Laura C., femme fatale incarnate, who encounters her alter ego, Claire, the brainy academic. Laura grapples with the integration of these two opposing identities while striving to uphold an amorous but quickly failing relationship with her increasingly bewildered lover, Johnny.
