Grainy, awkward, tortured and funny, this video follows a fictionalized character, Sarah Marks, through her daily hell of bad 70 s fashion, depression, anorexia, and nutty girlfriends. Weaving narrative, experimental, and archival footage, the work explores the impact of liberalism and women s liberation on young women, and the costs of growing up queer, feminist, and fucked up in th 70s. Winner of the Experimental Video Award at the 1996 USA Film Festival, and Juror s Choice at the Charlotte Film and Video Festival.
