Sybaris is an adaptation of literal imaginings inspired by descriptions in a short story written by Giorgio de Chirico in 1929 entitled "Hebdomeros". Passages in de Chirico's story evokes specific places in the artist's memory of Vancouver during her first reading of the story in Helsinki. The video is an attempt to sequentially depict unrelated events in a continuum.
