Sound and visuals whip around the viewer like an exercise in acid trip aeronautics. trans addresses the many levels of mediation the passenger is experiencing during a flight on a commerical airliner. Travelling at 10 000 metres in the air, flying at 1000 kms/hr, sitting in a chair at room temperature in a cigar shaped fuselage, watching a hollywood movie, sipping a coke. There is nothing in common with the environment which we are immersed in and the surrounding landscape; which has effectively been rendered non-existent. This is the way to see the world. The new science fiction. We are instantly transporting ourselves all over the globe, leaving the landscape behind.
