Hello, Ocean?

 This work is a continuation of themes explored in Gold’s 2016 work, Mastic. Dark fairy tale motifs and a moody, ominous aesthetic are used to delve deeper into the psyche in “Hello, Ocean?” The film follows a salmonid farm escapee as she returns back to her home habitat, surrounded by technological detritus. Video feedback trails glitter about her vision as she awaits her latest round of micro plastic glitter.
